Baatar Eco Slippers
Low slipper with natural colored wool and vegetable tanned leather sole
The word Baatar is Mongolian and means hero, and has given its name to a new series of low slippers that replace the Slipper model. Baatar Eco is a hand-felted wool slipper that feels light and warm and is easy to put on and take off. The slipper is shaped to the foot, has good width and encloses the foot over the instep. The latter is important, as this is where the large blood vessel that supplies the front part of the foot is located. This contributes to increased warming properties.
This is an Eco product made from natural raw materials, and no chemicals have been used in its production. The wool felt is made from natural fibers that have only been treated with soap and water. The slippers in the color Yak brown contain fibers from yak oxen. This has an insulating layer of down, and tests show that it is among the world's warmest natural fibers; 40% warmer than merino wool. The outsole is made of suede leather that is vegetable tanned and only treated with plant oils.
Wool's unique properties warm and ventilate away moisture, thus keeping the feet comfortably dry and warm. The inside is so soft that you can go barefoot in the slippers, and in fact, we recommend doing just that.
This is a light and comfortable slipper that can be used all year round. It is delicately made from nature's own colors and materials.
