Von Doren

It all began with a Swiss wristwatch, an heirloom passed down from a great-grandfather to his great-grandchild.

The founder, Øyvind VonDoren Asbjørnsen, has a very special connection to watches. The story began when, at just 12 years old, he inherited his great-grandfather's valuable Swiss watch. This sparked a unique passion for watches in young VonDoren. Despite his young age, the Ålesund native began to delve into watch literature.

After a long career as a director and film producer, he followed his dream, and in 2016, he founded the watch brand Von Doren. Today, Von Doren creates timeless, high-quality wristwatches, inspired by Norwegian nature and history. All watches are designed by Von Doren in Norway, and they use only Swiss movements.
